Complete album

I just finished making this album for one of my clients, and she has graciously allowed me to post it. It is absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to give it to her! (I also offer this album in pink and will be posting some samples soon!)

Baby Daniela

My best friend Jana and her husband Ricardo adopted a baby girl in December of 2007. The adoption became final last weekend, so my family and I drove to Utah to witness the blessing and sealing of Baby Daniela to Ricardo and Jana. In our faith, being "sealed" means that our family relations can last through eternity, not just until death do us part. It is the most wonderful thing that a couple or family can have happen to them. Jana asked me to take pictures of them after the sealing.

The whole family

Jana and Daniela

This is Jana and Ricardo's oldest daughter. I normally don't do this type of photography, but this picture just looked so good in this style! I couldn't resist!

We had a wonderful time and are so thrilled that Daniela gets to be part of an eternal family.

Urban chic

While in Seattle, my sister-in-law and I did a photo shoot downtown by the mall, and in historic Pioneer Square. It was cloudy and overcast, which made for perfect lighting. The pictures turned out incredibly well, and I couldn't be happier. Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. (No, she's not a professional model, but she should be!)

Nick and Rachael

I'm in Seattle right now visiting my brother and his family, and I got set up with their friends for a photo shoot. This couple was absolutely perfect. They interacted so naturally and we got some stunning shots. It had been raining all day (all week, actually) and we just prayed and prayed it would stop for the shoot. It quit raining about ten minutes before the shoot, and started up again ten minutes after the shoot. It was a miracle! The lighting was gorgeous, and the locale (Robinswood Park in Bellevue) was perfect. Here is a preview of the many incredible shots of this adorable couple.

The Hurricane

This past weekend I got to photograph a little girl who is affectionately called "Hurricane Hadley" by her mother. The antics of this child have been profiled on Denver's Mile High Mamas, which her mother founded as a resource for parents in the Denver area. The site has a new article every day, lists of all the fun things going on in Denver, and forums where parents can connect with each other. The site will soon be featuring a giveaway of a free photo session and free 11x14 mounted and textured print from me! This should be coming some time in the next few days, so check the site often!

In the meantime, please enjoy these sweet pictures of this adorable girl, who was anything but a hurricane for the photo shoot. Much to her mother's delight.

Little Tommy

I met Little Tommy's mom two-and-a-half years ago just after she'd had Tommy's big sister. She was visiting her mom in Denver and was referred to me by her aunt (a good friend of mine) to take pictures of her baby. Several months later, we moved to Los Angeles. My husband left on a business trip one day after we got there, so I was left in a strange, huge city, all alone with my two girls. Then my oldest got very sick and I didn't know what to do. I called my aforementioned friend back in Denver. She asked me if I had called Tommy's mom. It turned out that she lived only five minutes away from where we were staying. She and her husband came over that night, and she picked my girls and me up from the hospital the next morning. (The paramedics are happy to transport you to the hospital, but they don't provide return service). I consider it Divine Providence that in a city of ten-million people, where it takes literally two hours to drive from end to end, Tommy's mom was there for me. Literally the only person I knew was five minutes away. Thank you, Tommy's mom! Now here are some pictures of your beautiful baby.

Another blue-eyed beauty

I got to take pictures of this five-month-old today. Her mom told me they hadn't had much luck and weren't very happy with pictures they had gotten at a certain photo studio which shall remain nameless :) I think they'll be much happier with these ones! They really show the personality of this baby in her natural setting. The black and whites were gorgeous. Look at those huge eyes! And, I worked up a cute little personal card just for fun. (Names have been changed).

First photoshoot with my new camera

I just took this camera out of the box today, and I think I can say I am officially in love! All of these pictures were taken with this camera, except for two, which were taken with my old camera, which I also love. This gorgeous little girl is one of my daughter's best friends. The last picture is one of my "fine art" pieces. I absolutely adore it, along with all the rest. Enjoy!
