Beautiful baby girl

This sweetheart just turned one. She has the most beautiful coloring. Porcelain skin, dark hair, and blue eyes. She was such a doll. The cuteness almost overwhelmed me at times :) And even though the smiles were few and far between, her sweet spirit shines through.

I came back today to photograph this little cutie in some new outfits that were just adorable. I was loving the hats, but he wasn't so much.... Still, is he not just to die for?

Last week I photographed an eight-month old baby boy. I asked his mom if he could crawl. Boy, could he ever! He was so fast! I really had to use all my skills to catch him! Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

Snow shoot

When this family contacted me to do their Christmas pictures, little did I know how well the weather would cooperate! It snowed for two days straight, and then the sun came out and melted just enough for me to be able to get out of my driveway! And it was warm enough that my hands weren't shaking as I tried to take pictures. (I did a wedding in a snowstorm two years ago and just in case you were wondering, it's really hard to take pictures while you're shivering!) The two adorable little boys were so good during the shoot and I am so happy with how the portraits turned out!

The cutest Christmas cards ever!

This year I have a really fantastic collection of Christmas card designs. There are samples of most of them below. I am also happy to custom-design anything for you so you can pick your own colors, layout, and text. The last day to order Christmas cards is November 30th. The hard part is deciding which design to choose! Enjoy!

These are the "official" two-year pictures of my daughter. Isn't she a doll? I love the way she crinkles up her nose when she's smiling.

Hey good lookin'!

This past weekend I photographed a great family. The mom did a fantastic job picking out clothes that were perfectly complimented by the beautiful fall colors. I just love the warmth in these portraits. And even though she probably will be embarrassed, I had to throw in a gorgeous portrait of the mom all by herself :)

An old red chair

I photographed these beautiful girls last year. When I went to their house, I noticed they had this great old red chair. Ever since I first saw it, I knew I had to do their portraits in it. So for this year's photo shoot, I asked if we could bring the red chair. I felt really bad making their mom lug it out to our location, but after seeing the pictures, I don't feel bad any more! It was totally worth it!

Fall schedule

In order to spend more time with my family this holiday season, I will be doing my last portrait session on November 14th. After that, sessions will resume in January 2010.

Hats

I love hats. The fluffy, winter kind that always look so cute on kids. A friend of mine makes the most amazing hats. She grew up as an orphan in the Ukraine and was taught to knit and crochet in the orphanage. I wanted to take some pictures of her and her daughter in their fun winter-wear. (The gray hat with white flowers was actually not made by my friend, but all the rest were). We had so much fun trying on the different hats and scarfs. If it's got to be cold, at least we can be cute, right?
